Lolets Eco Park

In April 2005, former mayor and board member "Luis Escutin" or Lolet to his friends conceived and financed dream of putting up this park for his family and at the same time his legacy to the people of Barangay Duyoc and to all Daonhons. This park has conceived simply as a place where everybody young and old alike could enjoy and spend times with their families and friends while approach the scent of nature. It was also intended to make this as a model to create awareness especially to the youth on the importance of a  clean, green and beautiful environment.

 

Lolet's Eco-park situated just three kilometers away or a 8-minutes ride from the town proper, the Lolet’s Eco-Park, boasts of being the only eco-tourism destination in Dao, Capiz. Luis or ‘Lolet’ a former mayor of Dao and board member of Capiz started to develop about a hectare of their 4-hectare property at Brgy. Duyoc in the 1960s. In 2005, the entire four-hectare property was developed and served as a “model to create awareness, especially the youth, on the importance of a clean, green and beautiful environment.

The Lolet's Eco Park is the only Eco Park in Dao. It is frequented by domestic and foreign tourists, because there is no other facility like this in our neighboring cities," he said.The park houses the remains of Panay railway bridge, connecting Capiz and Iloilo as the train was so one of the most easily accessible transportation in the 1980s.

Famous for the abundance and delicious fish, called “IBIS”, the place was originally called during the Pre- Spanish period as Ibisan. People from the “Ilaya” would go near the bank of the river which they called “Ilawod”, where the Municipal Market site is now located, to barter their crops with “Ibis”. Due to preference of “V” from “B”, the place was named Ivisan instead of Ibisan during the Spanish era. Through old local leaders and prominent people in the locality called the place “IVISAN” as evidenced by some inscription in old infrastructures. The later generation called it again Ivisan.

To avoid people to confuse the previous name of resort was attached. The Resort managed by Genelyn Ugas Orola, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Ugas. For there accommodation they have  7 cottages, 10 air-condition rooms,canteen were you can buy foods,  and the resort surrounded by  mango and coconut tress. Its nice to relax  and unwind with your friends and family in this place  because of the fresh air and pleasant  place.  Rbm beach resort also have white sand like boracay even if you are not in boracay you can really feel a  small paradise.  You can travelled from Roxas City airport to "Ivisan" town of  Rbm beach Resort in almost 30 mins, then  from Ivisan going to  Rbm beach resort another 30 mins.
